Southwesterly winds will usher in relatively mild air for Monday, but that quickly changes as a trough and associated arctic front come through Monday night into Tuesday morning. This front my trigger a period of light rain or even show showers early Tuesday morning. Tuesday and Wednesday, the Arctic high pressure system will be firmly entrenched over the eastern half of the continental US, with northwest flow advecting in cold air.
