Discussion: A weak low pressure system will move off the southern mid-Atlantic coastline this afternoon and will move to the northeast while intensifying as it goes. It will pass to the east of Long Island by later on in the evening. High pressure will build in the Tennessee valley and move off the mid-Atlantic coast by the end of the weak. A weakening low pressure system will pass through the region Thursday night or Friday with a high pressure system from Canada building into New England behind it. The front will become stationary temporarily and then lift northward over the weekend. | |||
