Saturdays forecast

Discussion: Severe weather is a major threat today.  Expect strong thunderstorms with isolated weak tornadoes this afternoon.  A squall line will come through between 8 and 9 pm, and if it maintains its potency, damaging wind gusts to 60 mph will be possible.  If we're still alive after this front comes through, beautiful weather is in store for Sunday and the beginning of the week.  Stay tuned to twitter (@SBUweather) for updates.  (Yes, that was a joke.  This front will not actually wipe out the area).
