Saturday's Forecast

Discussion: All eyes are on a major coastal storm which will bring 2-3 inches of rain to Long Island Sunday into Monday.  Winds will also increase, and we currently expect gusts as high as 45mph.  Exact wind speeds and rainfall totals will depend on the exact track of the storm system.  We are monitoring it closely.

Increasing clouds with rain, heavy at times, starting in the early afternoon. High 59°F.  NE wind increasing in the late afternoon.  Rain, heavy at times.  Localized flooding possible.  Low 49°F. Wind ENE at 25 to 30mph, shifting to the SE by daybreak.  Gusts as high as 45mph.  Heavy rain in the morning will come to an end, leaving partly cloudy skies the rest of the day.  High 57°F.  Windy Partly cloudy and breezy.  Low around 40°F.
